Werner Avenue Tree Planting (Nov 3rd)
‘We Dig Your District’ Tree Planting to Improve Trail Parking Lot- November 3, 1:30 PM.
Volunteers are needed to help plant trees at the Werner Ave. Parking lot of the Cedar River Trail. The event will include a brief ceremony, tree planting, and time to socialize with your fellow volunteers, city council members, and representatives from Alliant Energy and Trees Forever. Light refreshments will be served. We Dig Your District is a Trees Forever and Alliant Energy program that works with public and private partners to plant trees in each of Cedar Rapids’ 5 City Council districts.
Werner Ave is found just south of Hwy 100 (Collins Road), between I-380 and Center Point Road NE. Click here for a map showing Werner Avenue.
